Alocasia ‘Polly’, also called Alocasia x amazonica or the African Mask Plant, is a hybrid of Alocasia watsoniana and Alocasia sanderiana, developed for its compact size and dramatic foliage. It belongs to the Araceae family and is primarily grown indoors due to its sensitivity to cold temperatures. The plant typically reaches 1–2 feet in height, with leaves up to 12–18 inches long, featuring glossy dark green surfaces and prominent white veins. Flowering is rare indoors, and the plant is mainly valued for its foliage.
